I believe the girl in the bathtub is essentially saying "Jeez, this album is over ten years old. Relax!"
I'm relieved that RTH is taking the shy-wallflower demographic head-on! For too long, the milquetoasts have held a hegemony over every aspect of culture as we know it, casting the alpha males out into the wilderness. :P

If I get the gist of this thread, I think this cover does a great job of representing the band's whimsy, juvenalia, dorm-room sex appeal and fanboy tendencies, as well as the the good, the bad, and the ugly that stem from this mix.

what has always confused me is her watch.
she wear it on her right, so she's obviously left handed. yet I swear the time looks like it's 10 minutes til 3, almost as if she's wearing it upside down.

It's the wrong kind of tub for a B&S album, isn't it? Shouldn't this girlie be breast-feeding her stuffed tiger in a victorian footed tub, or a big galvanized steel farmer's tub or something? The squared-off suburban bathtub, ca. 1979, is wrong-wrong-WRONG for fans of this band.

I can't believe that some of you actually noticed the watch and the bathtub. Like Tom said, I've never looked back that far either. Then again, I'm not the most visually oriented person.
The real question, as far as I can see, is how it's related to the insert of Tori Amos' Boys for Pele album, which features her breast-feeding a tiny pig (sorry I can't seem to find an image of this on the net for some reason).
