Thanks for the props Hrrundi. I know you love the"soul shouter" elements of my vox. Not a bad tune. Has many elements of a good song for us to cover - 4X4 beat, funny fuzz guitar parts.

I'd say "funny" is an operative word in this song that carries great weight. Pretty good, Hrrundi.

The cover I always wanted to hear was Graham Parker and the Rumour doing "Get Right Back to Where We Started From", or whatever that song's called.

Great suggestion, but it's pince nez time. The song is actually called "Right Back Where We Started From" and Maxine Nightingale performed it. I love that song and think GP & The Rumour would've done a fine cover given their covers of "Chain of Fools," "You Can't Hurry Love" and "Hold Back the Night".

Berlyant, the Pince Nez cannot be donned when the person posting acknowledges that he or she is uncertain of a fact (ie, "or whatever that song's called"). As punishment, your Pince Nez privileges are suspended for 2 days! Yes, you got a day knocked off the typical punishment for this offense for otherwise agreeing with me.

I’m liking this a lot, never heard of it or Spencer before. The bass, fuzz and handclaps are all great, and I especially like the rave-up at the end when they start spelling out the title and pull it off.

For specific artist/song cover pairs, Beck really should have worked some Monkees – maybe “Goin’ Down” but definitely “Steam Engine” – into his repertoire at some point.
