I found this fascinating. Lou is always so controlled and controlling, so seeing him improvise vocally and share the stage was interesting. This answers the question, whatever happened to Garland Jeffreys. His Ghost Writer album (1977) was highly regarded, and he wrote that last song on Cale's first album. Now he apparently plays festivals in Belgium.

I'll have to say, as curator of this series, even I was blown away by this clip. Yes, Hrrundi, the good stuff keeps coming!

I played this video for someone who is not a RTH regular (and something of a loose cannon).
He got very angry and accused you guys of trying to make Lou Reed look bad!
Then he got mad at me when I said that LR was as much of a douche as a genius.
He stormed out of my studio reccomending that I/WE(RTH)
watch the Velvet reunion concert.
I just looked down and I'm typing this wearing a VU
t-shirt.

Nice report, shawnkilroy, and nice defense of this series. I would heartily encourage this person to enter the Halls of Rock and discuss the value of even Lou's failed quest for tthe sound he hears in his head with us. He might be surprised to learn how we see this series as adding to the man's legacy moreso than a continued and well-deserved circle jerk over his greatest works merit at this point.

That's his retort? He wants us to watch Lou play that Cronenberg-looking guitar?
