As I await my copy to arrive, I thought I'd share the reminder that 2000 Man sent my way today: Big Dipper's box set, Supercluster, hit the streets earlier today! You can order it here if you don't see it in your local store.
You may recall our interview with Big Dipper's Gary Waleik a while back - before anyone else thought to cover the long-overdue digital issue of the band's catalog, I might add (ever so humbly). If you didn't see it when it first ran, check it out. You'll also be able to sample a crackly, burn from my Big Dipper vinyl.
In a few weeks, Rock Town Hall travels to Hoboken, NJ to catch one of the band's reunion shows!

I was going to recommend it here, on the principle that the band and the label would get a better deal out of a Merge download than an Amazon download, but it turns out Amazon is selling the download (3 discs worth!) for $8.99, while Merge's download is $10.99. What's up with that?
The album is super juicy! Ordinarily I wouldn't listen to three cd's in a row by one band, but these have gone down real easy and it's funny how I didn't have any idea who they were but every so often a song makes me go, "I remember THIS!" and then I turn it up. Very cool.
The cd is a limited to 5000 pressing. I guess that doesn't include downloads? Not that I buy music hoping it's rare, but I don't see any point in saying it's limited if you can download it. I guess one day we'll all just subscribe to something that let's us all have everything whenever we want and the added bonus of looking for some music will turn into a mouse click. I'm not complaining, but one day I'll miss record stores.
