Stoned!

Ever see a musician in concert (ie, in the flesh - not on video) who was as stoned as Sly Stone appears to be in this Midnight Special performance with Tom Jones? For that matter, ever see a musician in concert with as much as chest hair as Jones displays?

Anton Newcombe of the Brian Jonestown Massacre at the Khyber and Dean Wareham(sp?) of Luna at the Troc.
I believed both to be very high on heroin.

Is Sly stoned, or is he laughing/squirming at/with/about Mr.Jones? Here in the privacy of my own lair, I found myself behaving very much as Sly was, every time Tom spoke, sang or moved.
