With this post, we inaugurate a new series of fun and games here at RTH, entitled <strong>&#8220;If You Can&#8217;t Say Anything Nice&#8230;&#8221;<\/strong> &#8212; as in &#8220;if you can&#8217;t say anything nice about somebody, don&#8217;t say anything at all.&#8221;  You know, like your Moms taught you when you were a kid.  The principle here is similar:  RTH posts a song or video or image for you to consider.  Then &#8212; if you can &#8212; it&#8217;s your job to say something <em><strong>nice<\/strong><\/em> about what you&#8217;ve witnessed.  The most convincingly &#8220;nice&#8221; set of observations wins a coveted <strong>RTH No-Prize<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Today, we&#8217;re inaugurating the series with a fascinating performance by <strong>Deep Purple<\/strong> (but mainly <strong>Ritchie Blackmore<\/strong>) at <strong>California Jam<\/strong>, in 1974.  Have a look, and let us all know what you think.
