Yes, he&#8217;s hosting\u2014certainly doing a mumbling, <em>aw shucks<\/em> monologue complete with those twinkling forever-young eyes and numerous runs of his fingers through that still-luxurious hair, certainly appearing in skits and possibly being funny on occasion. Can we expect much in terms of blowing us away with his comedic acting chops? He&#8217;s had a few cracks at an acting career with little success over the years. I guess he&#8217;ll play music, too, although <a href=\"http:\/\/insidetv.ew.com\/2012\/05\/15\/mick-jagger-keith-richards-snl\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Keef<\/strong> says he&#8217;s not going to make a guest appearance<\/a> with his old Glimmer Twin. We&#8217;ll see.<\/p>\n<p>Jagger&#8217;s going to have to work hard to top Paul McCartney&#8217;s appearances in skits on <em>SNL<\/em> and elsewhere. Considering he was the worst actor in the Beatles&#8217; movies, Paul&#8217;s become pretty funny in his advanced age. You know Mick&#8217;s gonna be gunning for Paul&#8217;s title as Rock&#8217;s Funniest Living Legend. He goes <a href=\"http:\/\/www.prefixmag.com\/news\/mick-jagger-to-host-snl-season-finale\/64963\/\" target=\"_blank\">way back<\/a> with the SNL crew, but he&#8217;s never hosted. Paul&#8217;s been on the show a number of times and killed in skits, but Mick is the first of these living legends to be billed as &#8220;host.&#8221; I bet he&#8217;s psyched.<\/p>\n<p>You know Keef couldn&#8217;t care less about holding the title of <em>SNL<\/em> host or Rock&#8217;s Funniest Living Legend. <strong>Pete Townshend<\/strong> would be too weird to ever work in American sketch comedy. Can you imagine\u00a0<strong>Bob Dylan<\/strong> vying for the spot? He might be the funniest rocker ever to appear on <em>SNL<\/em>, but you wouldn&#8217;t be able to tell.<\/p>\n<p>Like McCartney, Jagger&#8217;s still &#8220;in the game&#8221;\u2014at least\u00a0as far as he&#8217;s concerned. Mick&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ris.fashion.telegraph.co.uk\/RichImageService.svc\/imagecontent\/1\/TMG8510297\/p\/rexfeatures_173477_1894372a.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">fit and trim<\/a>. His hair <a href=\"https:\/\/static-secure.guim.co.uk\/sys-images\/Guardian\/Archive\/Search\/2011\/9\/27\/1317119265957\/Mick-Jagger-007.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">refuses to turn gray<\/a>. He&#8217;s probably hipper than any of our <a href=\"http:\/\/i.telegraph.co.uk\/multimedia\/archive\/01174\/arts-graphics-2006_1174414a.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">dads<\/a>. Mick and Paul are the self-perceived Last Men Standing among 1960s pop stars.
