The music of Dream Syndicate founder and solo artist extrodinaire, Steve Wynn has played an important part in my musical and creative evolution. All of us here likely have at least one artist or band that has made a big personal difference. Well Steve is one of my top few and I&#8217;m still giddy that he actually answered my questions. Living proof that the 18 year-old rock nerd in me is alive and thriving. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em> <\/em> <em>Steve Wynn &amp; The Miracle 3 are going to be playing Saturday night in Philadelphia at the North Star Bar with The Fleshtones (see Peter Zaremba interview <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rocktownhall.com\/blogs\/index.php\/the-rock-town-hall-interview-peter-zaremba\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>), Palmyra Delran, and Stupidity. You can go here, <a href=\"http:\/\/northstarbar.com\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/northstarbar.com<\/a> for more info and to buy tickets. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The only band that I&#8217;ve seen live more than Steve Wynn is <strong>Meat Puppets<\/strong>, mostly &#8217;cause of time in Arizona. Wynn puts on a great, fun, tight, energetic and engaging show. Honestly, some of the best live shows that I have ever seen. And I&#8217;ve seen <strong>Foghat<\/strong>! True, unfortunately.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>So without further ado&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Rock Town Hall:<\/strong> Hi Steve. Thanks for agreeing to do an email interview for our rock-talk blog. What started 5 years ago as a way for an old college friend and me to keep the <em>late-night-rock-discussions <\/em> going years after we graduated, 1986, has become bigger than we ever hoped it would. That someone would email me and and ask if I wanted to interview Steve Wynn, and actually be able to make it happen, is a bit bitchin\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>I was going to delve into some web-research on you in preparation, and did a bit, but decided that I really wanted to just ask you questions as the fan I am and not try to impress you, or anyone with my in-depth knowledge of your favorite toothpaste and stuff. Do you have a favorite toothpaste? I don\u2019t.<\/p>\n<p>So I\u2019ll give you a bit of my introduction to your work and then I\u2019ll just ask you a handful of questions that I\u2019d like to know the answers to and hope that our readers do too.<\/p>\n<p>I grew up in Arizona during a time when if you weren\u2019t over 55, drank something brown on the rocks, and listened to Sinatra there wasn\u2019t much to do or to listen to. MTV came along around my senior year in high school but&#8230;I went to college north of Chicago and met my now partner in this rock blog scheme. He turned me onto <strong><em><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">The Velvet Underground<\/span><\/em><\/strong> as well as <em><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">The Stooges<\/span><\/strong><\/em>, <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><em><strong>XTC<\/strong><\/em><\/span>, <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><em>The Undertones<\/em><\/strong><\/span>, <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><em><strong>Big Star<\/strong><\/em><\/span>, and loads more.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">He also turned me onto this record store in Chicago called <strong>Wax Trax<\/strong>, I think. It was the kind of place where music-dudes that worked there would give you music advice and all of the album tray cards were scribbled with \u201cknowledge\u201d and suggestions.  On the tray card for <\/span><em><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Lou Reed\u2019s<\/span><\/strong><\/em> album <strong><em><span style=\"color: #993366;\">Berlin<\/span><\/em><\/strong> was \u201cLou\u2019s best?\u201d I don\u2019t think so myself but that\u2019s subjective. On <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><em><strong>The Velvet Underground<\/strong><\/em><\/span> tray card was, and I\u2019m paraphrasing, \u201cIf you like VU then check out the modern VU, <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><em><strong>The Dream Syndicate<\/strong><\/em><\/span>.&#8221; So that is how I ended up purchasing <em><strong><span style=\"color: #993366;\">The Days of Wine and Roses<\/span><\/strong><\/em>. It\u2019s possibly the first time that I bought an album based on a written suggestion rather than a rec from a friend or hearing a track on the radio&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Steve Wynn: <\/strong>Great story&#8211;that store was always very supportive as was Chicago in general. \u00a0Okay, let&#8217;s go&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><iframe class='youtube-player youtuber' type='text\/html' width='425' height='355' src='http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/EQ6cjI030Yc?rel=0&amp;fs=1&amp;ap=%252526fmt%253D18' webkitAllowFullScreen mozallowfullscreen allowFullScreen frameborder='0'><\/iframe><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>RTH:<\/strong> After all of these years, how do you feel about <span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Dream Syndicate<\/span>? Do you get more <span style=\"color: #000000;\">Dream Syndicate <\/span>questions than you\u2019d like? Other than <em><strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\">John Coltrane Stereo Blues<\/span><\/strong><\/em>, do you still play<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> Dream Syndicate songs<\/span>?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>SW:<\/strong> I never understand why people don&#8217;t want to talk about their old bands or play songs by their old band. Unless, of course, they HATED their old band. In which case, isn&#8217;t THAT a sad story. And it&#8217;s not my story. I&#8217;m really proud of the music I made with The Dream Syndicate. That was my finishing school, my misspent youth and we made some great records, pushed envelopes that needed pushing and helped to bridge a gap between the music we loved and what came next. I&#8217;m sure I&#8217;ll play a handful of Syndicate songs at the<\/span> <a href=\"http:\/\/northstarbar.com \" target=\"_blank\">North Star<\/a><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> since I do most every night.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>RTH:<\/strong> Were you then\/are you still a <span style=\"color: #000000;\">Velvet Underground<\/span> fan? I assume so, but what about <span style=\"color: #000000;\">Lou Reed\u2019s <\/span>solo stuff? Favorite song(s)? Were you proud of the comparison and\/or did you feel it was overused?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>SW:<\/strong> I loved the Velvets, although I didn&#8217;t really know their music until I was 19. Someone played the banana album and from the first notes, it felt like I was home. So, I was deep in the thrall of their music when I started the Dream Syndicate 2 years later. I actually do like many of Lou&#8217;s records, particularly <em>Street Hassle<\/em>, <em>Transformer<\/em>, and <em>Coney Island Baby<\/em>. (I&#8217;m also perversely attracted to the very odd <em>The Bells<\/em>.) He&#8217;s also made some of the worst records ever, which I think is a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rocktownhall.com\/blogs\/index.php\/tag\/lou-reed\/\" target=\"_blank\">badge of honor<\/a>. I&#8217;ve always wanted to make a really shitty record (like most of my heroes have done), and it might be the one ambition I have yet to accomplish.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>RTH:<\/strong> Wikipedia tells me, &#8220;Duck <em>[ed: Dream Syndicate drummer Dennis Duck]<\/em> suggested the name &#8220;<span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Dream Syndicate<\/span>&#8221; in reference to <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><em><strong>Tony Conrad\u2019s<\/strong><\/em><\/span> early 1960s New York experimental ensemble (better known as the <span style=\"color: #993366;\"><em><strong>Theater of Eternal Music<\/strong><\/em><\/span>, whose members included <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><em>John Cale<\/em><\/strong><\/span>.\u201d A sly reference to <span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Velvet Underground<\/span>?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>SW:<\/strong> Dennis thought he was making a reference to a Tony Conrad solo album called <em>Outside The Dream Syndicate<\/em>. None of us had any idea that it was a pre-Velvets band that included John Cale. So, not sly at all. Just a weird accident. We met Tony Conrad on our first tour of the US and he loved the band and gave his blessing. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>RTH:<\/strong> DS and others were lumped into some press hook called \u201cThe Paisley Underground.\u201d I get that. I hear that. I\u2019m not a fan of these niche labels, but I don\u2019t think they\u2019re going away anytime soon. Were you intentionally going for some kind of hippy-acid-alternative-punk kind of thing? Did you embrace this? Did you reject \u201cthe label,\u201d as so many bands do? Or did you not even acknowledge it and just keep-on-keepin\u2019-on? Were there ever any wild \u201cPaisley Underground\u201d parties that involved skinny dipping with <em><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Susanna Hoffs<\/strong><\/span><\/em>? <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>SW:<\/strong> Ha \u00a0ha&#8211;there were some VERY wild parties, usually hosted by <em><strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Green<\/span> On <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Red<\/span><\/strong><\/em>, every Sunday at their Hollywood pad. Sue showed up at a few but it was mostly dudes drinking whiskey and playing <em>Neil Young<\/em> records. As you would expect. I always loved the other PU bands and enjoyed playing shows with them and hanging out with them but always felt we were different. We were jamming, playing long songs, making ugly noise&#8211;it wasn&#8217;t always so paisley when it came to the <em>Dream Syndicate<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>RTH:<\/strong> Did anyone ever tell you that this:<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_14069\" style=\"width: 154px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-14069\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-14069\" title=\"stevewynnDSback\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rocktownhall.com\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/stevewynnDSback.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"144\" height=\"138\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-14069\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Steve&#39;s pic on the back cover of The Days of Wine and Roses<\/p><\/div>\n<p>looks kinda like Jim Jarmusch film actor, and jazz musician, <strong>John Lurie<\/strong>?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-14070\" title=\"lurie\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rocktownhall.com\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/lurie.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"455\" height=\"268\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rocktownhall.com\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/lurie.jpg 650w, https:\/\/www.rocktownhall.com\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/lurie-300x176.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 455px) 100vw, 455px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>SW: <\/strong>Never. But damned if you don&#8217;t have a point.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><!--nextpage--><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>RTH:<\/strong> Your first two solo albums, <span style=\"color: #993366;\"><strong><em>Kerosene Man <\/em><\/strong><\/span>and <strong><span style=\"color: #993366;\"><em>Dazzling Display<\/em><\/span><\/strong>, <span style=\"color: #000000;\">are two my all-time favorite recordings. The list of folks who played with you on those releases is long and includes loads of cool folks like <\/span><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><em>Chris Cacavas, Howe Gelb, Flo &amp; Eddie, Peter Buck, John Wesley Harding, Johnette Napolitano, D.J. Bonebrake<\/em><\/strong><\/span>, and more. <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><em><strong> The Giant Sand<\/strong><\/em><\/span> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">guys are\/were based in Tucson. Over the years it looks like you have done stuff in Tucson and with Tucson folks, including your great <\/span><span style=\"color: #993366;\"><em><strong>Here Come the Miracles<\/strong><\/em><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> release. Tucson has a mystical energy for me. How did you get attracted to Tucson? Did you ever go over and hang in Nogales? In high school we did frequently as all you had to be able to say was, \u201ccerveza por favor\u201d to get served beer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><iframe class='youtube-player youtuber' type='text\/html' width='425' height='355' src='http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Vf1cpq0T3Uo?rel=0&amp;fs=1&amp;ap=%252526fmt%253D18' webkitAllowFullScreen mozallowfullscreen allowFullScreen frameborder='0'><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>SW:<\/strong> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">Glad to hear you liked those first 2 solo albums. They often get lost (sometimes even by me, when making set lists) in the idea that my best stuff happened in my first 10 years and last 10 years. I&#8217;ve had several run-ins with Tucson&#8211;first as a friend (and eventually labelmate) of Green On Red and<\/span><em><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> <\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Naked Prey<\/span><\/strong><\/em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">. And then, as you mention, when I recorded there and made 3 albums (the <em>Desert Trilogy!<\/em>) from 2000 to 2005. What can I say? I like the music that comes out of there, I&#8217;ve made some really good friends. <strong>Wavelab<\/strong> is a great studio,<\/span> <em><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Craig Schumacher<\/span><\/strong><\/em> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">(who runs the studio and co-produced those records with me) is a genius. And the Mexican food? Don&#8217;t get me started. I give that city (and particularly my experiences at Wavelab) a lot of credit for giving me a good boost into the second phase of my career.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>RTH:<\/strong> You worked with <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><em>Rick Rizzo<\/em><\/strong><\/span> and<span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><em><strong> Janet Bean<\/strong><\/em><\/span> on <span style=\"color: #993366;\"><em><strong>Suitcase Sessions<\/strong><\/em><\/span>. How did you hook up with them? I\u2019m assuming that you are an <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><em><strong>Eleventh Dream Day<\/strong> <\/em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">fan<\/span><\/span>? I am for sure. They put on a helluva live show!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>SW:<\/strong> Huge fan. Rick and Janet used to come to a bunch of our shows before they formed their band. One day they brought me a cassette of some of their songs. I remember listening to it on the plane home from Chicago and freaking out. They are one of those bands that had a great burst at the beginning but have kept evolving and getting better over the years. Great band and, yes, great live show.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>RTH:<\/strong> I read somewhere that you are \u201cbig in the UK.\u201d True? What exactly does that mean? I imagine <span style=\"color: #993366;\"><strong><em>A Hard Day\u2019s Night<\/em><\/strong><\/span> throng of female fans chasing you down that street. Yes?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>SW:<\/strong> Well, I&#8217;ve always been more popular in Europe, which is kinda fun. It&#8217;s given me the chance to see a lot of great places. To be honest, the UK is fine but I think my most popular countries have been on the continent&#8211;Italy, Spain, Belgium, Greece, Germany, Norway&#8211;those have all been particularly good. A woman once chased me down the street but it was because I forgot to pay for my breakfast.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><!--nextpage--><\/span><\/p><iframe class='youtube-player youtuber' type='text\/html' width='425' height='355' src='http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/B0_alplGd7g?rel=0&amp;fs=1&amp;ap=%252526fmt%253D18' webkitAllowFullScreen mozallowfullscreen allowFullScreen frameborder='0'><\/iframe><p><strong>RTH:<\/strong> <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><em><strong>Gutterball<\/strong><\/em><\/span> albums sound like a room full of guys having a blast. How did this project come about, and was it a room full of guys having a blast?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>SW:<\/strong> It was amazing. It was everything you want in a recording session. And it wasn&#8217;t meant to be a record. I had some money sent my way to record a <em>Gram Parsons<\/em> song <em>[ed: &#8220;Christine&#8217;s Tune&#8221; on Conmemorativo: A Tribute To Gram Parsons]<\/em> and decided to do it with my pals who were, at the time, the expanded four-piece version of <em>House of Freaks<\/em>. They had just come off the road and were tight and firing on all cylinders. I wrote a bunch of songs, just for kicks, with <em><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Bryan Harvey<\/span><\/strong> <\/em>and \u00a0we had some time left over after recording the Gram track. We had some drinks, played one take of each of these new, untested songs and went home. As the months went by, we all (and several labels as well) realized we had done something special and next thing \u00a0you knew, we were a band. But we never stopped having a blast and being motivated by nothing more than amusing ourselves and having fun together.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>RTH:<\/strong> <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><em><strong>Allmusic.com<\/strong><\/em><\/span> calls Gutterball a \u201csupergroup.\u201d I figure Velvet Underground labels are preferable to \u201csupergroup.\u201d \u00a0If only for the Asia association, if nothing else.  <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-14073\" title=\"asia\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rocktownhall.com\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/asia.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"318\" height=\"207\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rocktownhall.com\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/asia.jpg 318w, https:\/\/www.rocktownhall.com\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/asia-300x195.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 318px) 100vw, 318px\" \/> <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"> <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Agree? Shame on me again. And again you have great talent with you:\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><em>Scott McCaughey, Peter Buck<\/em><\/strong><\/span>, and your ongoing drummer (and wife) <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><em>Linda Pitmon<\/em><\/strong><\/span>. I recently took my youngest son to <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><em><strong>Jackie Robinson<\/strong><\/em><\/span> day at <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><em><strong>Dodger Stadium<\/strong><\/em><\/span>. I told him you do a song about him and he wants to hear it. I\u2019m actually watching <span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Dodgers<\/span> play the <span style=\"color: #000000;\">A\u2019s<\/span> as I\u2019m typing this. I wanted to mention the project here though as we have a lot of baseball fans as members. Many of them are in Philadelphia, where you\u2019ll be playing on Saturday night<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">. <\/span> So the only astute question I can ask here is, Who\u2019s your favorite baseball team?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>SW:<\/strong> I&#8217;m a <em><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Yankees<\/span><\/strong><\/em> fan, though I grew up watching and, at various times, digging the Dodgers. What can I say? I&#8217;ve always loved everything about New York City, and when I finally moved here 20 years ago, I wanted to be a fan of a local team. My NL team was the Dodgers so I had to get into the Yankees. They stunk at the time but things quickly changed and it seemed (and still seems) like I had hitched my post to a winner. It&#8217;s a fun band with almost the same story as the Gutterball<em> <\/em>one above: debut album done quickly and just for kicks; unexpected and surprising interest follows; band remains great friends and does what we do just for kicks, love of the music, and the chance to hang out together.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>RTH:<\/strong> Wait, I have another. I have friends in Philly. I\u2019ve seen a game at the new stadium. I like many of the players. I even have a <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><em>Phillies<\/em><\/strong><\/span> t-shirt! They do though make comparisons to <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><em><strong>Television<\/strong><\/em><\/span>. \u00a0Is the<span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong> <\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Television<\/span><\/span> comparison apt in your opinion? I mean, I don&#8217;t get all that many VU comparisons these days. But the Miracle 3 and I, in particular, gets compared a lot to Television. And that&#8217;s very fair. I think that Television and Neil Young and Crazy Horse are the perfect definition of the classic 2 guitars, bass, drums rock band. And I&#8217;d like to think that The Dream Syndicate and most definitely SWM3 fit into that legacy. I&#8217;ll have to check out your review with Richard. We had a great tour together 10 years ago. The guy can play, that&#8217;s for sure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>RTH:<\/strong> Where does the name<span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">Miracle 3<\/span><\/span> come from? It makes me think of <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><em>Robyn Hitcock\u2019s<\/em><\/strong><\/span> recent work with <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><em><strong>The Venus 3<\/strong><\/em><\/span> and<span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><em><strong> The Minus 5<\/strong><\/em><\/span>, which also includes <span style=\"color: #000000;\">Peter Buck and Scott McCaughey<\/span>. You guys trying to start a new movement hear or something? I could call it <span style=\"color: #993366;\"><strong><em>The Paisley 3<\/em><\/strong><\/span> movement or something&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>SW:<\/strong> I think that the Miracle 3<em> <\/em>predates the Venus 3, but follows 3 Mustaphas 3 and the Three Stooges. We were going on tour for <em>Here Come The Miracles<\/em> and I just felt that I wanted a band name since it felt less like a singer\/songwriter tour than anything I had done. I had to think of something quickly and that seemed very obvious. I had this idea that I would change the backing band name for each record that followed but <em>Miracle 3<\/em> just kind of stuck. It does actually sound pretty good, even 11 years later (!)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><!--nextpage--><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>RTH:<\/strong> Prior to <span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Dream Syndicate<\/span> you were in at least two bands, <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><em>The Suspects<\/em><\/strong><\/span> and <em><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">15 Minutes<\/span><\/strong><\/em>. Are there any recordings out there of these bands?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>SW:<\/strong> Each band (well, 15 Minutes<em> <\/em>was just me, for the most part) had a single. But I&#8217;m very proud that I&#8217;ve lasted this long, made so many records that I&#8217;m proud of and that so many people have come along for the ride. Really, it&#8217;s all way beyond anything I could have imagined when I was 21 and finished mixing <em>The Days of Wine and Roses <\/em>at 8:00 am, just in time to drive back and start my shift at the record store (<em>Rhino!<\/em>) where I worked. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"> <\/span><strong>RTH:<\/strong> I could ask loads more but <span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Dodgers <\/span>are now tied in the bottom of the 5th and they need my full rooting support.
