Mick set aside his satin jacket for leather. As the above clip demonstrates, the event reeked of cool and even danger! This event alone is miles ahead of anything Stewart did in 1975, beside bedding Britt Ekland in the privacy of his own mansion, an achievement therefore not eligible for consideration in Round 7 of this Battle Royale.

Some might argue that the Stones’ return to energetic rock ‘n roll is attributable to the addition of Stewart’s longtime sidekick, Ron Wood. Some might even argue that partial credit for the Stones’ revival should be therefore be granted to Stewart himself, for keeping Woody in the limelight through the first half of the ’70s and pimping him out to Keef. This examination, however, shall not even hint at such conclusions.

ROUND 7: Mick dons the leather jacket; Stones cruise through the round, taking a 4-3 lead with 1 round to go.

Previously…

In 1975, Faces mercifully wind down with a final tour.
