Doesn’t care anymore<\/p><\/div>\n

Elvis is the King of Rock & Roll. Michael Jackson is the King of Pop. Bruce is The Boss. James Brown is the Godfather of Soul. And somebody or other is the Godfather of Punk.<\/p>\n

But I am the Curmudgeon of Rock & Roll<\/strong>! I am the Go-Play-On-Your-Own-Property Of Pop!<\/p>\n

I suppose it started when I signed on to Team No Good Music Since 1982<\/strong>, back in the days of RTH v.1. And it\u2019s only become worse. Here\u2019s the latest evidence.<\/p>\n

Names! I hate the names of current bands. I know there\u2019s never been much originality in naming bands but at least there was some. A band becomes big – with a clever original name – and then everyone follows suit. But now, the first one in is dumb and the rest follow with equally dumb names.<\/p>\n

I imagine most of you are familiar with Noisetrade<\/em>. Daily emails with free music to download (or tip the artist if you want). Not sure how I got on the list and I\u2019ve never seen anything that seemed worth the time to download it. The other day one of the featured artists was Anchor + Bell<\/strong>. To help you decide if you want to investigate an artist Noisetrade usually provides a \u201cSimilar Artists\u201d guide. So, maybe they are similar musically or maybe they are similar ampersandly.<\/p>\n
