I forget a lot of important things, I am pretty sure, because my brain retains so much pointless information that only interests me. Here&#8217;s the latest case in point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was watching this excellent episode of <em>The Dick Van Dyke Show<\/em> the other night, and in the middle of an already top-shelf episode involving the possible firing Sally or Buddy and Rob getting an offer from a puppet, who should show up but <em>Laugh-In<\/em> cast member and Philadelphia native <strong>Henry Gibson<\/strong>. I always get a kick out of that guy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the following point in the show, he stands up and recites a poem. For the next few days, I kept thinking, &#8220;Where have I heard that before?&#8221; See if it rings a bell for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Dick Van Dyke Show S05E24 Talk to the Snail\" width=\"695\" height=\"391\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xSEt3LGHMdI?start=532&#038;feature=oembed&amp;wmode=opaque\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Last night, while washing the dishes, out of nowhere, I finally made the connection&#8230;<em>after the jump<\/em>!
