{"id":2604,"date":"2010-03-15T13:30:56","date_gmt":"2010-03-15T17:30:56","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2010-03-18T17:34:56","modified_gmt":"2010-03-18T17:34:56","slug":"rth-search-my-first-demo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rocktownhall.com\/blogs\/rth-search-my-first-demo\/","title":{"rendered":"Rock Town Hall Talent(less) Search: My First Demo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>D8eqtpLxFO0]<br \/>\nI am proposing that musicians in the Halls of Rock participate in perhaps the most daunting thread ever: <em><strong>Rock Town Hall&#8217;s First Annual Talent(less) Search: My First Demo.<\/strong><\/em> <\/p>\n<p><em>Details follow the jump.<\/em><br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nI propose that those of us who have played, written, and recorded music over the years reach into the dark recesses of our musical archives and <strong>share<\/strong> &#8211; in blinded, non-downloadable fashion &#8211; <strong>one or two of our earliest demo or live recordings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Obviously, the expectation is <em>not<\/em> that your first recordings display any of the stunning musical abilities that you possess today. Even the most successful, skilled musicians who pass time here probably started out sounding&#8230;<em>awkward<\/em> on tape.
