So, too, does rock and roll. There are many examples of rock lyrics in which the narrator is faced with clear-cut decision. Probably the best known (probably because he goes on and on about it) takes place between <strong>Meat Loaf<\/strong> (that&#8217;s Mr. Loaf to the <em>New York Times<\/em>) and <strong>Ellen Foley<\/strong> in the backseat of Meat&#8217;s car: &#8220;So what&#8217;s it gonna be, boy, yes or no?&#8221; We all know how that turns out.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Checking into this further it seems like it is more common for the narrator to just present the choices and leave it to the listener to determine the outcome. Here&#8217;s an interesting dilemma posed by <strong>Brandon Flowers<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><iframe class='youtube-player youtuber' type='text\/html' width='425' height='355' src='http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/RIZdjT1472Y?rel=0&amp;fs=1&amp;ap=%252526fmt%253D18' webkitAllowFullScreen mozallowfullscreen allowFullScreen frameborder='0'><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">&#8220;Are we human or are we dancer?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I would have to go with human. Have you ever seen those chained up <a href=\"http:\/\/t2.gstatic.com\/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRdsojB_OUojKFjs4ilZIUrVYjfUZiH9N4ftXfF9UL-PWTpFuQ&amp;t=1&amp;usg=__S7BxXbbShbg9z4-fLw122SF9Wy4=\" target=\"_blank\">dancing bears in the Russian circus<\/a>?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Or even the <a href=\"http:\/\/t1.gstatic.com\/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTAX3HKWOyG9BUjJvTCtldzXgZ-iwJKHWdQgBoC0dxRvvRJRrY&amp;t=1&amp;usg=__6wTBSTbZB12SZwsR07GFsuPHoDU=\" target=\"_blank\">funky robots in the <strong>Beastie Boys<\/strong> videos<\/a>?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Non-human dancers are just creepy. Stick with human and you can still dance if you feel motivated to do so.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">So, what are some more examples of the <em>either\/or<\/em> choice in rock.
