The question in today&#8217;s poll regarding whether <strong>Chris Stamey<\/strong> deserves a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rocktownhall.com\/blogs\/index.php\/talented-rock-artist-you-d-most-like-to\/\" target=\"_blank\">Rock Wedgie<\/a> (perhaps for leaving The dB&#8217;s when he did, perhaps for other acts, such as abuse of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rocktownhall.com\/blogs\/index.php\/128-string-guitar\/\" target=\"_blank\">128-string guitar<\/a> or his anal series of contributions to <em>Tape-Op<\/em>) as well as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.startribune.com\/entertainment\/blogs\/113092054.html?elr=KArksLckD8EQDUoaEyqyP4O%3ADW3ckUiD3aPc%3A_Yyc%3AaUvDEhiaE3miUsZ\" target=\"_blank\">recent news reports of a new album by <strong>The Jayhawks<\/strong> with <strong>Mark Olson<\/strong> finally back in the fold<\/a> got me thinking about the converse: <em>the worst-timed departures of key band members in the eyes of the band members left behind<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>For instance, how bad must the timing of Olson&#8217;s departure, hot on the heels of <em>Tomorrow the Green Grass<\/em>, have been for <strong>Gary Louris<\/strong> and the rest of that band?
