These songs are from a collaboration\u00a0called <em>Barbara Manning Sings With the Original Artists<\/em> she did <strong>Stuart Moxham<\/strong> of Young Marble Giants (who accompanies her on the first track, &#8220;When I Dream&#8221;) and <strong>Jon Langford<\/strong> of The Mekons (on the second Mystery Date track, &#8220;Gold Brick&#8221;), among others. You probably know the varying sounds of The Mekons. Young Marble Giants is one of those bands that you may have heard of but never actually heard.\u00a0Here&#8217;s a Young Marble Giants track that showcases Moxham&#8217;s guitar style:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><iframe class='youtube-player youtuber' type='text\/html' width='425' height='355' src='http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Ngl-kx5ltEw?rel=0&amp;fs=1&amp;ap=%252526fmt%253D18' webkitAllowFullScreen mozallowfullscreen allowFullScreen frameborder='0'><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The Barbara Manning music by her I am most familiar with is rooted in a much easier-to-swallow\u00a0(for me and\u00a0I would guess members of the Bad Attitude Club)\u00a0&#8217;60s psych sound.
