Here’s the one chickenfrank was hoping I’d find: “Bald Kirk,” Jean-Luc Picard, leading Worf and Data through a Gilbert & Sullivan number!

Worf, is best judged, however, by his mad skillz in singing Klingon opera.

If anyone finds a clip of George Takei (Sulu) singing in this get up, it’s GAME OVER!

This is too late to be a contender, but it makes me very happy:

I was never a fan of TNG, so those submissions are automatically eliminated.

For pure kitsch factor, Kirk wins it. Ever since his “Lucy In the Sky With Diamonds,” his singing has “enthralled” me. This is one of my favorite performances: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGr2zf_x8IU

Uhura has the best voice. I always was a fan of hers.

But the best performance is by Spock. That intergalactic lute number is from a favorite episode, “Plato’s Step-children,” in which members of the crew are forced to act in ways that they naturally wouldn’t, all for the entertainment of the host Platists. Not only did the episode feature an inter-racial kiss (between Kirk and Uhura) but poor Spock had to emote all over the place by singing that lute ballad. Poor Spock. But notice his dignity, even when having to wear that teal toga.

  3. Man, that show, in all its iterations, is really embarrassingly stupid. I’ll go with Shatner just because his stuff is so over the top.

I have a soft spot for Spock’s singing the line “ah ah ah ah, bitter dregs”.

But Shatner’s rendition of “Common People” has got to be far and away the best thing and fully worthy of RTH appreciation, though mainly due to the rest of the track.
