Well, maybe there would be some disagreement. But try the following and suggest a topic on which we can build.

1. Specific Artist’s Electric Guitars (Your Choice of Artist)

2. Handclaps

3. Debut Album

I look forward to your comments!

Here’s like two year jumps of debut albums that I thought of right away.

    Good – 1976 – Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers

    Better – 1978 – The Cars

    Best – 1980 – Pretenders

  2. For Jimmy Page’s signature guitars I’ll go Les Paul (good), Danelectro (better), doubleneck (best).

Good use of rock maracas: “Rattlesnake Shake,” Fleetwood Mac (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JsVmsPv6_Ic)

Better use of rock maracas: Last verse of ACDC’s “Problem Child” (not actually featured in this live video, but — holy shit! I just had to share this incendiary performance in a small college rec hall from 1978. Best moment of rock overpowering teevee EVER: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eY9H0s5sph0)

Best use of rock maracas: “Brown Sugar,” Rolling Stones.

    Good: Let It Bleed

    Better: Beggars Banquet

    Best: Exile on Main St.

I think now is where I drop the mic on the ground.
