Sparklehorse's album "It's a Wonderful Life" is a masterpiece. If'n you don' have it already, you should get it.

I'm a big fan of Sparklehorse. I know Linkous had a pretty checkered emotional history including an OD that nearly nearly left him paralyzed did do permanent damage to his legs. I've long wanted to do a post on what I call "Magical Realism" in the rock world. Kiko era Los Lobos, Sparklehorse, some PJ Harvey phases. I'll have to work on that.
