The Royale Household owns and enjoys quite a bit of the Froom canon. I think their production is particularly good for highlighting percussion – I can see how that would be less enjoyable on an Elvis Costello album but works on Cibo Matto, Soul Coughing, and (another favorite) the Latin Playboys.

The LP’s are David Hidalgo and Louie Perez from Los Lobos, as well as Froom and Blake. On their first album, “Dose,” Wendy and Lisa provide some backing vocals and Jerry Marotta some drums/percussion. Here’s a live performance of “Mustard:”

Good show, Mr. Mod, but what was the last song? It sounds like something Sagittarius might have recorded in the late ’60s but I don’t think that’s it.
