Gone, “Fifth Force Suite: Hypercharge-The Wait”
I saw Gone open for Rollins Band on a double-bill. It was pretty cool and confirmed some suspicions I’d long had about the hardcore scene. In fact, seeing the two sides of the splintered Black Flag helped me eventually go back and better appreciate Black Flag, in reverse order of their releases.
I need a little more to hang onto there. It sounds like the drummer is playing a different song. Maybe it’s the guitar player. Either way it’s diminishing any appreciation I have for the act of jamming that Cowgirl in the Sand worked so hard to get me to realize!
Yeah, listening to this kind of thing on record didn’t work for me then, 2K, and it’s not working now. Having seen them go through these musical gymnastics live, however, helped. It was kind of funny.
