Hey, Mod — I’m starting to grok what you’re getting at with the whole Lou Reed/Prince/Kolchak the Turd-stalker thing. But let’s lay it on the line, real-time and visible for all to see. I propose a showdown — my best Prince bits against your key Reed finds. We’ll let The People sort out who’s the bigger turd-monger. You can see my first salvo above. That’s cool. I actually watched “Under the Cherry Moon” (the movie from which this scene was pulled) four the first time last night, and was pleasantly surprised. I mean, it’s completely idiotic, but it’s a romp with amazing music and — surprise! — great cinematography. I think cinematographer dude went on to work with Scorcese or something. Anyhow, the movie is 1000% less bad than “Graffiti Bridge.”
I’d be very curious to get Buskirk’s take on “Under a Cherry Moon.” That dude puts up with a lot of crap in moviedom.
I think he previously said that Tevin Campbell gave one of the “ten most underrated acting performances of all time” in Graffiti Bridge.
How do you rate ZZ Top’s acting chops from their cameo in Back To The Future III? And how did Jeff Lynne not get a cameo in Xanadu, anyway?
