    Our friend Paul from Setting the Woods on Fire, who hasn’t posted in a while but who’s been in the Halls of Rock for about as long as I’ve been checking out his fine site, is currently under siege from The Man. His most recent post – and maybe last for some time – is worth your consideration.

    Let’s hope we can all find a way to keep sharing our love for music.

    Fellow Townspeople, I went to a holiday fair at my church and a book sale at my local paper this past Saturday and I picked up the following for a total of $2.00:

    1. Hank Williams 40 Greatest Hits (2 CD set);
    2. The Ventures Play Telestar and the Lonely Bull LP (great condition; still has shrinkwrap w/a $3.98 pricetag from Radio Shack);
    3. Beach Boys Surfin’ Safari LP (looks like original pressing from inner sleeve);
    4. Two Buzzcocks promo CD EPs from the Test Trade Transmission album w/1993 Tour Information; and
    5. A Chas ‘n Dave CD comp.

    The funny thing was that the box in the church fair where I found #2 & #3, also had several 60s Tom Jones albums, including Live at The Talk of The Town, an album by Jonah Jones called Jonah Jones Sings For Chicks that had one of those goofy 50s covers & an original copy of Johnny Cash’s Live at San Quinten album. I had too much to carry to pick these gems up & they were all gone by the time I came back. But hey, I didn’t do too bad for 2 bucks.

    Nice haul, Diskojoe! Stories like this might get more of us to go to church.

    I know some of you will be stoked by this opportunity to connect with an RTH favorite!

    That’s funny, my Don Felder book arrived in the mail this morning. I breezed through the last third or so in about half an hour. Henley and Frey are the bad guys. Oh I forgot, spoiler alert!

  6. I just got that Don Felder bio in the mail myself. What’s the scoop on why people here are getting that?

  7. I mean: I got it without asking for it or knowing who sent it or why.
