Quick question: How much would you pay for this, the Time-Life video collection of selected performances from Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremonies over the years?  I want to figure out what this box set is really worth. So how much would you pay?

  1. First of all, how much of a dick is Billy Joel for rising up to the octave note on the first verse, right before McCartney enters the song? You leave THAT note for Paul, right?

As for your suggestion, I was checking the link and I was going to suggest paying $7.99, but then I saw that the 12-DVD set includes a performance by Jackson Browne and Melissa Etheridge on “Wake Up Little Susie.” That alone drives the price down to $4.99.

I see you’re on the same wavelength as me there, Moddie. I would definitely pay about $5 in a thrift store — but only if the DVD with the CSN performance is missing.

I have one that’s like that, I think. I’m not sure. It’s some kind of HOF DVD set with like four or five DVD’s. I think I watched it once, but I did a lot of skipping, and I’m pretty sure it could have been easily condensed into a YouTube clip.

Mine was a gift. When I decide it takes up too much room, I’ll get rid of it.

If only they would include Prairie Duets, than maybe I’d be interested. http://prairiehome.publicradio.org/features/talent/2012/duets/rules.shtml

I’d be more likely to buy a box set of Sesame Street versions of classic rock songs:

  6. I know I would only shell out cash if I could edit out Eric Clapton. Since that’s highly unlikely I wouldn’t pay a darn cent.
