I’m guessing the big “whooooo!” is from a Black Oak Arkansas tune, but I couldn’t tell you which one. I may be a dyed-in-the-wool Dandy-ist as far as my performance philosophy is concerned, but I’m not idiotic enough to pay money for any of their albums!
I agreed to lay low on this, since Sammy and I had discussed a few of these grunts in advance. However, I feel safe in sharing now that I knew all the ones you’ve guessed so far, even those I hadn’t discussed with Sammy. I got them on the first listen, of course, but you had to work harder. Nice work. These last 5 are tricky, even for an expert like me.
I too think the first track is something from Rob Tyner and MC5.
The second one sounds like a bong hit. It better not be the intro to “Instant Woody”. I know the Beastie Boys have a bong hit sound on Paul’s Boutique. Is it that song?

Yes from FUN HOUSE. No not Loose. I would accept your rationale for not knowing except that I, for a fact,know that I could play any 1/4 note from Sweet Jane and not only would you identify it but you’d know which version it is from. I’m having trouble reconciling this.
