In this week’s edition of Saturday Night Shut-In a road-weary Mr. Moderator finds that extra gear and ends up taking the show into overtime. If only he can keep his audience hanging in for 7 minutes beginning around the 11:25 mark…

Love the radio show, Is this a once a week thing? and by the way, can you make “friends” on this site or do we just post around here-anybody who can fill me in please do so. Rock On!
I’d never heard that Adrian Belew song before and really liked it. What with the lyrics to that song and all the animal noises he can create with his guitar, I’m wondering if he chairs animal rights organizations or something. Mr. Royale once had dinner with him years ago and said that he was very nice. No mention as to whether the dinner was vegetarian. In my net searches for more info about Mr. Belew, I re-acquainted myself with that “hit” of his “Oh Daddy” and promptly got it stuck in my head. I started looking for info on his daughter, who was featured in that song/video and turns out that she lives in Portland, OR. I’m going to look for her name on future credits of Portlandia.
In other news, today’s NY Times Crossword Puzzle contains the following clue: “Hallmark of the Philadelphia sound.” Thanks, RTH, for making that an easy one to solve.
Yes, that song was new to me as well. It’s from an album called Side 3. That’s the only track I’ve downloaded to date. I may dip into some more. In interviews he always seems like he might be a contender for Nicest Guy in Rock. We may have to see if we can track him down for a chat…
I keep meaning to pull out “Oh Daddy” and play it for our 10-year-old son, kicks off everything he needs to say to me with that phrase.
Glad we could help with the crossword puzzle. Maybe a few years from now “Rock Town Hall” will be an answer.
Yes, it’s weekly, usually posting at 6:00 pm EST on Saturdays.
We don’t a social media mechanism tied into the site other than the RTH Facebook page. Friendships have developed through the site, but we don’t have an icon for initiating the process:)
You still download stuff Mr. Mod??? C’mon all the cool kids are streaming from the cloud now-a-daze.
Hey, Steve (Jobs), get off of my cloud!
I know this is hard to believe, jeangray, but I’m not quite that modern yet.
